Section 2 - Rescue

 Mud, Ice and Unstable Ground

This module covers working in, on or near, for the purpose of rescue from mud, ice or similar unstable ground and materials in bulk quantity such as grain, coal, sand, gravel, rubble or similar materials that do not provide a firm and stable footing.

Lifts and Escalators
This module and the related risk assessment provides generic guidance on the hazards, risks and controls measures that relate to Service personnel carrying out rescues from lifts, escalators and similar passenger conveyances.

Sewers
This module and the related risk assessment provides generic guidance on the hazards, risks and controls measures that relate to Service personnel dealing with Rescues from Sewers.

Silos
This module and the related risk assessment provides generic guidance on the hazards, risks and control measures that relate to Service personnel carrying out Rescues from Silos

Trench
This module and the related risk assessment provides generic guidance on the hazards, risks and control measures that relate to Service personnel carrying out Rescues from Trenches or Pits. Trenches occur as part of activities in building works and utilities maintenance, with pits occurring in a variety of locations, such as agricultural and industrial sites.

USAR
This module and the related risk assessment provides generic guidance on the hazards, risks and controls measures that relate to Service personnel dealing with incidents involving or rescue from, collapsed structures.

Working at Height
This module and the related risk assessment provide generic guidance on the hazards, risks and control measures that relate to Service personnel working at height. That is for the purposes of rescue from height or where other work is required at height or in close proximity to a fall hazard.

Animals
This module and the related risk assessments provides generic guidance on the hazards, risks and controls measures that relate to Service personnel dealing with rescues of animals.

Water
This module and the related risk assessments provides generic guidance on the hazards, risks and controls measures that relate to Service personnel working on, in or near water including rescues.

RTC
This module and the related risk assessment provide generic guidance on the hazards, risks and control measures that relate to Service personnel when dealing with rescues from road vehicles.
